Welcome to GodMattersMost!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website.

This site is dedicated to exploring everyday life through the eyes of God’s Word. Life can be very tough, though it was never meant to be. Without God on our side, life would be—at best—chaotic and without genuine purpose, and—at worst—filled with tremendous suffering and meaninglessness.

The concept of the site came from my many years of ministry, teaching, mentoring and just talking to people about life. One thing stands out: few know how to handle life’s trials well; even people who profess to be Christian.

As I considered the many questions and concerns others have posed about living day to day, as well as the ups and downs I myself have experienced, I’ve kept a record and begun to search God’s Word, with the guidance and grace of the Holy Spirit, in an effort to see how God means for us to live.

I promise to stay true to God’s Word and will endeavor to never do anything, say anything, or even think anything that compromises the Truth of the gospel! If ever I interject my own opinion or interpretation, I will say so.

I hope you will find my writing invigorating to your faith, uplifting to your spirit, and a catalyst for your own changes as you endeavor to embrace and live out God’s intention for your life.

About Us

I’m Allan Dutch and I live in Maine with my wonderful wife, Terri and our wonderdog, Huckleberry.

I am both a husband and father. Three grown children and 6 grandchildren.

I served many years as a full-time worship and music minister, a middle and high school teacher (having taught science, drama, American Sign Language, and public speaking), and a host for a Christian conference camp.

My interests include: studying scripture, teaching, composing music, writing and illustrating.

My wife and I were on the road, traveling across America and working at RV parks and camping resorts until we finally settled on living in Maine.

As life rolls on I desire to serve God as fully as possible, in as many ways as possible, until I take my final breath and go Home to be with my Savior.

I hope you’ll come along with me on this journey!

I’d Like to Hear from You
