John Piper is one of the foremost pastor, teacher, and writers of this century. Founder of Bethlehem Bible College and Seminary in Minnesota. He hosts an ongoing vlog series and has written an amazing number of eBooks, as well as full-length Christian study guides and spiritual growth books.
Founder and pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, New York, the church grew from 50 to 5,000. Keller has been known for his prolific writing and teaching of encouraging, and challenging Christian works on nearly every subject. He went home to be with the LORD in 2023.
A.W. Tozer’s works, and sermons, are among some of thew greatest Christian literature available. As a young pastor, Tozer gave himself to three main tasks: prayer, study, and proclamation. In his life and after his death, Tozer was regarded by many as a modern-day prophet, perhaps due to his prayer long ago in those woods.
Francis Chan is a church planter in San Francisco and former pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, CA. He is the host of the BASIC series and launched a discipleship movement called Multiply with David Platt. He is a member of the board of directors for Children’s Hunger Fund and World Impact.

 J. I. Packer achieved fame and was serviceable to Christ’s kingdom through a very simple formula: he did the task before him and left the outcome to God. When asked late in life what his final words to the church might be, Packer replied, “I think I can boil it down to four words: Glorify Christ every way.”

Dr. R.C. Sproul was founder of Ligonier Ministries, first minister of preaching and teaching at Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Fla., first president of Reformation Bible College, and executive editor of Tabletalk magazine. His radio program, Renewing Your Mind, is still broadcast daily on hundreds of radio stations around the world and can also be heard online. He was author of more than one hundred books.
Andrew Murray is best known for his devotional books. He was one of the chief promoters of the call to missions in South Africa. This led to the Dutch Reformed Church missions to blacks in the Transvaal and Malawi. Many of his 240 publications explain in how he saw this devotion and its outworking in the life of the Christian. Several of his books have become devotional classics.
Born in England in 1886, Arthur Walkington Pink was converted to Christ while a spiritualist medium. He briefly attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, Little-known to the outside world, he pastored other churches in the United States and Australia before finally returning to his homeland in 1934. He died almost unnoticed in 1952, yet his writings became well known and very widely read across the world.

C.S. Lewis, perhaps most well-known for his Chronicles of Narnia series, was a prolific writer who challenged Christians to search out God’s truth. He was one of the most influential writers of the 20th Century.  Once an avowed atheist, Lewis’s own intellectual and spiritual journey led him to the God of the Bible and ultimately to Christ. While he seldom spoke of his beliefs during university lectures, His Christian faith profoundly influenced his writing.

Henri was an ordained priest and a gifted preacher who embodied the inherent incongruities of integrating life and spirit. His honesty was both enthralling and unsettling. When Henri embraced his own emotional and spiritual frailty as a conduit for discovering his status as God’s beloved, readers responded. Through Henri, they discovered that, despite their own brokenness, they too were deeply loved by God.
Thomas Merton (1915-1968) is arguably the most influential American Catholic author of the twentieth century. His time in ministry brought about profound changes in his self-understanding. This ongoing conversion impelled him into the political arena. It is said he was the conscience of the peace movement of the 1960’s. Referring to race and peace as the two most urgent issues of our time, Merton was a strong supporter of the nonviolent civil rights movement.
David Guzik is a pastor, Bible teacher, and author of a widely used Bible commentary. Millions of people use David’s online Bible commentary on sites such as Enduring Word and Blue Letter Bible. This is a terrific, and highly-accessible, commentary on the entire bible. Many of the books include audible reading of the texts.

Oswald Chambers, best known for his great devotional, “My Utmost for His Highest”, was born in Scotland. After his death, the books which bear his name were compiled by his wife from her own verbatim shorthand notes of his talks.brHe accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 15. He later preached in England, Ireland, the U.S. and Japan.
My Utmost for His Highest continues to challenge and encourage people a century after his death. More than 13 million copies printed, a mobile app, website, email, and social media sharing continue his legacy.
